My Birthday Gift to you

So it’s my birthday today, and I thought it would be befitting for me to give y’all a gift. Here is my birthday gift to you:

🎁Nuggets from my 18th year

  • Take care of yourself. You can’t give what you don’t have. Even if you want to show love, you must first love yourself and cultivate that love within before you would be able to love abundantly.

• Seize opportunities. I know we all know this but some opportunities do come only once.

• Put yourself out there. The limits that exist are in your head. You never really know till you try. You are young, this is the time to explore.

• Don’t be afraid of mistakes. If you aren’t making mistakes, you aren’t trying new things. You are staying in your comfort zone.

• Never allow your mind to be defeated. You may fall six times, but you will get up seven. Each time wiser than the last.

• This too will pass. No matter the event, it will still pass.

• You win some, you learn some. If you try something and it doesn’t work. You haven’t lost, you have only learnt one new way of doing it. Also, make sure you learn from your experiences.

• Never be caught ‘unfresh’. This is code word for be prepared. Always do your research.

• Nurture your relationships with people. This might seem basic, but be kind to people. People should be better off that you are in their lives. And remember, your network is your net worth. When you can, do favors for people. Seeds of love will always come in handy.

• Never compare yourself. Your path is different. Learn from others but don’t get stuck in comparison.

• Politics is everywhere. Don’t play yourself.

• Be true to yourself. If you love someone, tell them.

• Reading should be your hobby. There is nothing new under the sun oh. That new business you want to do, other entrepreneurs have written books, read it.

• Never underestimate the power of networking in conference and events. Always flow towards like minds.

• Protect your space. Your inner circle should be one of growth.

• Be financially intelligent. You are not too young to start saving and investing. If you don’t know where to start, read finance books.

• You never know when an article by Bill Gates on climate change might come in handy in your discussion with an industry professional, read wide. If you know, you know.

• You can actually do anything you set your mind to.

• Sometimes, you need a social media detox.

• What you do every day will ultimately determine who you will become. It is the habits that matter not the once in a blue moon activities.

• Waking up early is very key.

• God is here for you.
